Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
It is probably drawn from the takeover code, in which there is an obligation to comply with the spirit as well as the letter of the code. However, I respectfully agree with my noble and learned friend the Attorney-General, as I am certainly not aware of a legislative example of such a formula being adopted by Parliament.
