Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
I thank my noble and learned friend the Attorney-General for that response. This is not the place for an academic discussion but I do not really see this debate as such. I am genuinely puzzled because in so many forums where we work we find it hard to deal with jurisdiction-skipping. The problem of jurisdiction-skipping is not covered by the first or the second category referred to by my noble and learned friend. This is one of the biggest problems in the world today. Great Britain is home to a vast amount of the world’s direct investment and we should be giving a lead in cracking this problem.
