Proceeding contribution from Lord Lea of Crondall (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 6 February 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].
Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
I am sure I have tested the patience of the Committee and that I had better stop there. I think that my points have been noted. I do not think the problem will go away. It will have to be addressed but it is a question of the forum in which we address it. If we do not take the lead internationally, we will find that jurisdiction-hopping just gets worse. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendments Nos. 163A and 164 not moved.]
