had given notice of his intention to move Amendment No. 231A:"Page 48, line 20, at end insert—" ““(3A)   In making appointments to the Commission, the Secretary of State shall have regard to the desirability of appointing at least one person who has considerable experience of, and has shown capacity in, the rural affairs of local authorities.”” The noble Lord said: I listened very carefully to what the Minister said but I should also like to read it carefully. I have to say that at this stage I am not convinced by her arguments and I may well wish to return to the matter on Report. I do not want to repeat the arguments now and, on that basis, I shall not move the amendment tonight. [Amendment No. 231A not moved.] [Amendments Nos. 232 to 234 not moved.]
