Proceeding contribution from Lord Evans of Temple Guiting (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 2 March 2006. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers’ Compensation) (Payment of Claims) (Amendment) Regulations 2006.

Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers’ Compensation) (Payment of Claims) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

While I am waiting for the officials to supply a response to that point, I shall deal with the treatment of the diseases mentioned by the noble Lord, Lord Skelmersdale. In the March 2005 figures, there were 720 claims and 269 dependants received moneys. I will write to the noble Lord giving a full breakdown of figures for the past two financial years so that we can see where the trend is going.
