Proceeding contribution from Lord Hunt of Wirral (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 7 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Compensation Bill [HL].
Compensation Bill [HL]
moved, as an amendment to Amendment No. 51, Amendment No. 52:"Line 2, leave out ““provide for”” and insert ““require””" The noble Lord said: My Lords, the Government have sensibly proposed an amendment to tidy up paragraph 11 of the Schedule, dealing with provision for the regulator to investigate complaints about the conduct of authorised persons. The number of complaints is unlikely to be very great and there really should be a requirement that the regulator should investigate all of them. That is the purpose of this short amendment. I beg to move.
