Proceeding contribution from Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 20 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Bill [HL].
Company Law Bill [HL]
I am grateful to the Minister. We wish to share deregulatory emphasis, and therefore he makes a valid point about deregulation. I will have to check back to Part 13; I confess that the detail of our debates on Part 13 has somehow gone into the lacuna at the back of my mind. The solvency statement is a particularly important document in this area. Therefore, special attention to it and to the way in which it is handled may be justified. Clearly, the Minister has made a number of points that we need to consider and take advice on. We may seek to return to this if we feel that my latter point is sufficiently valid. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
