Proceeding contribution from Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 20 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Bill [HL].
Company Law Bill [HL]
Certainly, I shall do that. Following the comments made by the noble Lord, Lord Razzall, this is a practitioner point which I cannot argue in detail now. Practitioners have told us that the measure would simplify their role without in any way reducing the protections that are inherent in the procedure. However, we shall reflect further on the measure and perhaps come back to it. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
