Proceeding contribution from Lord Lucas (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 21 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Electoral Administration Bill.

Electoral Administration Bill

I support my noble friend—so I will not disagree with him all day. Following on from my noble friend’s logic, perhaps he will support me if I introduce an amendment on Report to reduce the figure to 16. Why should not the electors have the chance to choose a 16 year-old?
