Proceeding contribution from Lord Razzall (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 21 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Consumer Credit Bill.

Consumer Credit Bill

My Lords, I should like to make the point that a number of us have been making at every stage of the Bill. The amendment is not in my name, but I well understand the intention of the noble Lord, Lord De Mauley; it reflects the point that we have made consistently about wanting proper parliamentary scrutiny. It is a very simple point. The Government do not agree with it. I do not think this will be pushed to a vote, but I should like my view to go on the record.
