Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006

rose to move, That the Grand Committee do report to the House that it has considered the Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006. The noble Lord said: The main purpose of the Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 is to amend the provisions of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 to extend planning powers relating to development control, enforcement and development plan preparation functions. It also fulfils a longstanding government commitment to end the Crown’s immunity from planning control.
