Proceeding contribution from Lord Maginnis of Drumglass (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 18 April 2006. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.

Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006

I am sorry to intervene at this early stage but I do so purely to be helpful. We will hear the term ““development”” used again and again today and it is used in this Order in Council. It is not clear whether this is a generic term or whether it applies specifically to draft area plans, large developments, commercial developments or to single developments. The Minister could usefully define ““development”” before he continues. I hope that my intervention has not been inconvenient.
