Proceeding contribution from Lord Monson (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Monday, 24 April 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.
Health Bill
The noble Lord, Lord Faulkner, seeks to impose equality of misery. Over and above that, I suggest that Amendment No. 20 is almost tantamount to lèse majesté, in so far as it does not apply simply to the Palace of Westminster—one could possibly make an argument for including that—but, by definition, to all royal palaces wherever they may be situated. The implications of that are obvious.
