Work and Families Bill
My Lords, I understand that very well, which is why I do not intend to press my amendment to a Division. I want to ensure that we get something sensible on to the statute book. What I have taken from the Minister is the urgency of finishing the Bill within four years, and I am very sad about that. However, I take note of what he has said. I reiterate my hope that I shall not be in a wheelchair in two and a half years’ time. If I am, and I am not doddering, I promise the Minister that we shall come back to this, although we might be in government by then and will change it. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
