Children's Play Areas

I present a petition that Declares that Peterborough City Council has removed a number of children's doorstep play areas from North Bretton, against the wishes of the residents. A petition of some 347 signatures was raised over a period of two weeks, to request that the equipment be reinstated. The areas removed were an important part of the community, and had been in place for over 30 years. Their value was immense with regard to community spirit and local children's daily exercise, some of whom do not have gardens of their own. The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urge the Government to take action to encourage the City Council of Peterborough to listen to the residents' wishes and reinstate the doorstep play equipment.
