Proceeding contribution from Baroness Ashton of Upholland (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 15 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Electoral Administration Bill.
Electoral Administration Bill
My Lords, indeed. I am mindful not only of the amendment tabled by the noble Lord, Lord Beaumont but of the representations that he has made and, indeed, of the frustration that he feels about the issue. Were he here, I would have made specific reference to the meetings that he has had, where he has forcefully put forward his case. I hope that he too will participate fully with Sir Hayden on this important question.
