Proceeding contribution from Lord Rooker (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 17 May 2006. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Water Supply.
Water Supply
My Lords, I am not aware of that proposal at the 600-foot level. I do not know offhand where we are—I imagine we are below 600 feet here. Canals are fine. They are there as a resource, and may be necessary for transport and moving water. I do not know, but I will make it my business to find out about that plan.
