Proceeding contribution from Baroness Barker (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Monday, 22 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.
Health Bill
I thank the Minister for that reply. I know that he was trying to be helpful. I have never been to Glastonbury, so I cannot comment on that, but I would be astonished if so many people have been gathering there over all these years without appropriate medical cover. I do not find the example entirely compelling. The conditions that the pharmacist would have to meet are more important, but we have not addressed that issue. I do not want to labour the matter, but I wish to put on record that I still have significant misgivings. I shall go away and think harder about the matter between now and the next stage but, at this stage, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 77 not moved.]
