Proceeding contribution from Lord Dodds of Duncairn (Democratic Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 25 May 2006. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Pensions Reform.

Pensions Reform

I, too, welcome the changes to the financial assistance scheme. Workers in my constituency at the Richardson’s IFI plant have been treated shabbily and are devastated; I hope that these changes will help to improve the situation. Is the decision to uprate the pension credit in line with earnings from 2008 subject to an affordability test?
