Proceeding contribution from Earl of Onslow (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 13 June 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill.
Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill
My Lords, the noble LordĀ has been touching on the very important point of the ability to amend or repeal legislation. For those of us who have doubts, this is the core of those doubts. It would help the House enormously if, in his opening remarks, the noble LordĀ could tell us whether there are any Acts that the Government would like to repeal using this procedure and what those Acts are.
