Proceeding contribution from Baroness Byford (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 14 June 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Animal Welfare Bill.

Animal Welfare Bill

I am glad that the Minister has given that assurance. As far as I am aware, we do not have a date for Report. Hopefully we will have a slightly longer time, because that is a very important section of the Bill. Obviously the Government and the Minister are very keen to get the matter right. I thank the Minister for that suggestion and accept it gratefully.
