moved Amendment No. 4:"Page 3, line 2, leave out ““consumption of alcohol”” and insert ““sale by retail of alcohol for consumption””" The noble Lord said: My Lords, this is a purely technical amendment. Strictly speaking, licences do not authorise the consumption of alcohol; they authorise the sale of alcohol for consumption. The amendment corrects that minor drafting inaccuracy. On Question, amendment agreed to.
