Proceeding contribution from Lord Grocott (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 3 July 2006. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill.

Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill

My Lords, I remind that House although we cannot have points of order, the rules of debate are clear—the Motion has been put and the mover of the Motion has responded to the Motion. Without wishing to cut any debate, I think that it would be very odd if there was further discussion now. On Question, Motion agreed to. House in Committee accordingly. [The CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (Lord Brabazon of Tara) in the Chair.] Clause 1 [Power to remove or reduce burdens]:
