Proceeding contribution from Baroness Scott of Needham Market (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 20 July 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HL) on Education and Inspections Bill.

Education and Inspections Bill

I am grateful to the Minister for reiterating that the guidance emphasises the need for the new plans to be integrated with others. I am sure that local authorities will heed it. However, I remain concerned that new bureaucracy has been imposed which I am not sure is needed. Nevertheless, it is getting late and I shall not press the matter further. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
