Proceeding contribution from John Battle (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 12 October 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on World Trade (Doha Development Agenda).
World Trade (Doha Development Agenda)
I am grateful to my hon. Friend for giving way. It is not simply the timing of bilateral agreements. By and large, the big power holders in those bilateral agreements will beat down the poorer ones, so it will always be an unequal relationship from which the poor will lose. Bilaterals are bad news for poor countries.
