Proceeding contribution from Ian Davidson (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 26 October 2006. It occurred during Debate on A Citizens’ Agenda.
A Citizens’ Agenda
May I seek clarification on whether the Liberal Democrats are united on this matter? Do the Liberal Democrat Members in the Chamber agree with the statement made by the Liberal Democrat MEP and leader of the group in the European Parliament, Andrew Duff, in which he proposed:"““Those EU countries which reject the EU Constitution should be demoted to the status of ‘associate member’””?" Is that the Liberal Democrats’ position?
