Proceeding contribution from David Burrowes (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 11 January 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Legal Aid.
Legal Aid
I declare an interest as a practising solicitor in publicly funded work. The hon. Lady’s response to the Minister’s figures concerning those who will apparently receive a greater fee might be that a significant proportion of practitioners conduct their work efficiently at a fee below what it is proposed and provide a wonderful service for vulnerable clients.
