Proceeding contribution from Lord Benyon (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 19 January 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Sustainable Communities Bill.
Sustainable Communities Bill
I certainly can, and I am grateful to the hon. Gentleman for giving me the opportunity to do so. Clause 4(3) states:"ββThe Secretary of State may by order define the services or types of services which are of primarily national significance for the purposes of subsection (2)(c) and shall give reasons for all such definitions.ββ" I hope that that satisfies the hon. Gentleman. As the hon. Member for Gower (Mr. Caton) said, these matters should be discussed further in Committee.
