Proceeding contribution from Stephen Pound (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 28 February 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Offender Management Bill.
Offender Management Bill
Like me, my hon. Friend will have listened with great interest to the contribution of the hon. Member for Somerton and Frome (Mr. Heath), in which he discussed local accountability. Will my hon. Friend tell us, on the basis of his considerable experience in local and national government, what knowledge he has of the marvellous world of local accountability which apparently exists in the probation service at the present time?
