Budget Resolutions and Economic Situation
There are two issues that the hon. Gentleman needs to address. First, does he believe that couples stay together merely because of the tax system? Secondly, what does he believe the aim ought to be: to subsidise couples, or to prevent poverty among children? They are not necessarily the same thing.
