Proceeding contribution from Lord Bassam of Brighton (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 30 April 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Serious Crime Bill [HL].
Serious Crime Bill [HL]
moved AmendmentNo. 133: 133: Schedule 13, page 109, line 14, at end insert— The noble Lord said: My Lords, AmendmentNo. 133 repeals a provision in the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006 but amends a provision in the Commissioners for Revenue and Customs Act 2005. The Serious Crime Bill will repeal that provision in the Commissioners for Revenue and Customs Act 2005 as a result of the changes being made to the HMRC provisions in the Bill. As a result, that provision in the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006 is, of course, no longer necessary. These are minor and technical amendments. I beg to move. On Question, amendment agreed to. Clause 80 [Extent]:
