Proceeding contribution from Sandra Gidley (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Monday, 11 June 2007. It occurred during Opposition day on Carers.
Carers
My hon. Friend makes a very good point. She has a long commitment to the subject of young carers, and I hope that her point will be addressed by the Minister when she winds up, because it is valid. The issue is about joined-up government. There are Ministers present from two different Departments, but it has already been pointed out that the Department for Education and Skills has a role to play, and I suggest that the Department for Communities and Local Government has a role, too.
