Proceeding contribution from Adrian Bailey (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 23 July 2007. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Housing.
Housing
I welcome my hon. Friend’s statement and the increase in funding for housing. My area has a thriving private sector market, mostly on brownfield site, and a successful ALMO, which has hugely improved the number of decent homes, but there is still an acute shortage of social housing. Will she ensure that there are new models of working between local authorities, ALMOs, housing associations and funders such as local building societies to assess housing need and secure the models that will deliver those houses for people?
