Proceeding contribution from Richard Bacon (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 23 October 2007. It occurred during Debate on Public Accounts.

Public Accounts

Does my right hon. Friend think that this subject might come up when next we see the director-general of the BBC—in, I think, December—and will he invite the Minister to explain what possible objection there can be, given that the NAO already has responsibility for auditing the BBC World Service, which is a by-word for editorial integrity?
