Proceeding contribution from Lord Alton of Liverpool (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Monday, 10 December 2007. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill [HL].

Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill [HL]

I would not want the Committee to think that I had diverted it away from the amendment. Amendment No. 50 states: "““12A (1) The gametes or human cells of a person (““the child””) may be used to bring about the creation of an embryo or an inter-species embryo in vitro””." Everything I said was germane to that.
