Proceeding contribution from Lord Redwood (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 17 December 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on National Insurance Contributions Bill.

National Insurance Contributions Bill

I am grateful to the Minister, again. Can she remind the House how much worse off somebody will be when they get to their state second pension if they are earning a sum above the current upper earnings limit? They will lose their earnings-related element and go over to the flat rate, as I understand the scheme.
