Proceeding contribution from David Gauke (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 17 December 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on National Insurance Contributions Bill.

National Insurance Contributions Bill

If the hon. Lady is talking about the context of the 2007 Budget, she will remember from when we were both members of the Treasury Select Committee the evidence given to us by the Institute for Fiscal Studies showing that 5.3 million households, most of whom were among the lower paid, lost out as a consequence of that Budget.
