Proceeding contribution from Earl Cathcart (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 17 December 2007. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Climate Change Bill [HL].

Climate Change Bill [HL]

I am not totally happy with the Minister’s response. We have consistently tried to strengthen the role of the committee. If it is able to do what the amendment prescribes, it, too, can be inflexible. It would be good if the Minister reconsidered the amendment. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 37 not moved.]
