Proceeding contribution from Adam Price (Plaid Cymru) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 5 February 2008. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Energy Regulations (Consumer Prices).

Energy Regulations (Consumer Prices)

Before the hon. Gentleman comes on to solutions, does he accept that part of the problem that we face in respect of the current fuel price rises is that they are unevenly distributed? Indeed, they are often concentrated in the most disadvantaged communities. Only today, figures came out that show that in Wales electricity prices are, on average, 20 per cent. higher than in England, and of course Wales has some of the most disadvantaged communities in the United Kingdom.
