Proceeding contribution from John Baron (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 5 February 2008. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Energy Regulations (Consumer Prices).

Energy Regulations (Consumer Prices)

I accept that the Government have tried to make the case in Europe for a more liberal market. The problem is that they are not having much effect. When we look at the merger in which the French Government will keep a 35 to 40 per cent. stake, we will see that economic nationalism seems to be on the march on the continent. What more will the Minister do to try to get the French Government to change their minds?
