Proceeding contribution from David Heathcoat-Amory (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 17 March 2008. It occurred during Ministerial statement on European Council.

European Council

When he was Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Prime Minister was critical of EU structural funding and the waste of that funding and of industrial expenditure. He said that"““there is no better place to start than by bringing regional policy back to Britain””." If that is still his view, what progress has he made in persuading other member states of that?
