Income Tax
Can the Chancellor confirm that the 1.1 million losers of whom he spoke earlier are from the lowest income brackets—those earning between just under £7,000 and £8,000 a year? Those people will lose up to £120. Will he confirm that that is the case? Will he now take the opportunity to apologise to them, as his right hon. Friend has done, right now at the Dispatch Box, for all the trouble and fear that he has caused them?
