Proceeding contribution from Gareth Thomas (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 21 May 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill on Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill [Lords].
Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill [Lords]
When the hon. Gentleman comes on to the detail of how the LBRO will work and, indeed, to deciding whether the Conservative party will support it, will he take into consideration the comments of the British Chambers of Commerce, which said:"““We look forward to working with LBRO to improve the regulatory landscape… We welcome these proposals as a means to take forward the Government's commitment to ensuring a lighter touch on compliant businesses, but be tougher on rogue traders.””?"
