Proceeding contribution from Mike Hancock (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 10 June 2008. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Counter-Insurgency (Iraq/Afghanistan).

Counter-Insurgency (Iraq/Afghanistan)

The Minister shakes his head. The hon. Member for North Durham who spoke earlier said that there has been a change. That change has been a long time coming. In the past, predecessors of the Minister have repeatedly spoken to the Committee and the House and have flatly refused to look at the off-the-shelf option. Bowman, and Clansman before it, are classic examples of the Government not wanting to buy products that are available, even though they do what they want them to.
