Proceeding contribution from Baroness Hollis of Heigham (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 17 June 2008. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Pensions Bill.

Pensions Bill

I accept any faults in drafting, but my amendment states: ““Where a jobholder elects”” or chooses, "““to make pension contributions on that proportion of earnings which are £5,035 or less””—" not all their earnings, but a proportion— "““the employer shall contribute in the same””," ratio or, "““proportion as for earnings above””."
