Proceeding contribution from Lord Morrow (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Monday, 30 June 2008. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008.
Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008
My Lords, I thank everyone who has contributed to the debate. It is not my intention to respond to everything that has been said. I will simply say that the House has an opportunity tonight to give a voice to the people of Northern Ireland on an issue to which more than 70 per cent of them are opposed. I wish to test the opinion of the House. On Question, Whether the said amendment shall be agreed to? Their Lordships divided: Contents, 66; Not-Contents, 146. On Question, Motion agreed to.
