Unemployment in the UK
I apologise to my hon. Friend for intervening twice. The simple fact is that anyone who was selling short in the city was borrowing stock in order to do so. Who was lending the stock? It was the pension funds and other so-called Labour-approved reputable trading bodies. I think we need a little less sanctimonious crap from Members opposite.
