Canterbury City Council Bill [Lords] (By Order)
I shall be very brief, Mr. Deputy Speaker. Some months ago, we had extensive argument about the measure, so I shall say only that it is supported by all political parties in Canterbury and by local people and the local media. The problem is that large amounts of police and council time are required to enforce the existing legislation, so in practice our 18 legitimate street traders are—
