Proceeding contribution from Lord Malloch-Brown (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 19 January 2009. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Israel and Palestine: Gaza.
Israel and Palestine: Gaza
My Lords, I think the answer to my noble friend’s questions is ““yes””. The peace process does need to be expanded. In the Statement the Foreign Secretary used the phrase ““23-state solution””. That reflects the idea that we need to get the whole Arab world—friends and not such friends alike—involved if we are to get a durable peace that will hold for all. Equally, I confirm my noble friend’s second point about the urgency of access.
