Finance Bill
The hon. Member for Luton, North (Kelvin Hopkins) made an important point about the currency shift when we have a declining currency. The Prime Minister made an interesting observation in 1992 when he was shadow Chancellor, saying:""A weak currency arises from a weak economy which in turn is the result of a weak Government"." The hon. Gentleman says that a declining currency is good, but the Prime Minister also made an interesting observation about a weak currency.
